IP Phone Service is another term for Internet Protocol Phone Service. IP Telephone - These Voice over IP phones look the same as a normal phone in appearance but they use a different connecter. Instead of the standard RJ11 phone connection, an RJ45 Ethernet connecter is used. The Internet Protocol phones connect directly to your router or LAN and they come with all the software and parts needed for you Internet Protocol connection.

Computer-to-computer - This is the easiest way to use Voice over IP. Two computers can talk to one another with the proper equipment.
